Forest education for sustainable development

As part of the State of Europe’s Forests 2025 report webinar series, this webinar will explore how forest-based education for sustainable development can contribute to greater acceptance of the sustainable use of forests and promote green forest jobs.

The draft programme includes an introduction to forest-based education for sustainable development and its importance for the forest sector, how forest education relates to FOREST EUROPE initiatives, including Green Forest Jobs, and will briefly present practical examples from European countries.

The session is organised by the German Association for the Protection of Forests (SDW) in cooperation with the Subgroup for Forest Education of the European Forest Communicators Network. It will be moderated by Christoph Rullmann, Managing Director of SDW.
