The 4th, and so far last,edition of the State of Europe’s Forests Report was launched at the 7th Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe, which took place in Madrid, Spain, on 20-21 October 2015.
The report covers the 46 FOREST EUROPE signatory countries and the European Union. The elaboration of the SoEF has involved many people and a wide range of institutions and professionals with different backgrounds.
The Advisory Group is an informal body, composed of individuals from relevant international organisations and experts, including those who led the work on the previous reports on the “State of Europe’s Forests”.
The objective of the work of the Advisory Group is to contribute to the preparation of the report “State of Europe’s Forests”, by providing technical and scientific guidance to the Liaison Unit Madrid in their work on collecting the qualitative and quantitative indicators, analysing the information and preparing the report on SoEF. Being informal by nature, the Advisory Group is invited to formulate its opinions on all aspects related to the scope and organisation of the reporting process. The AG was also invited to advise on the entire process of preparation of the Report and support the LUM.
