Webinar: Monitoring and Assessing Forest Health
March 21, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

In order to unleash the full potential of forest monitoring and make well-informed forest policy, it is crucial to know what scientists bring to the table. In this webinar, we will look at the policy-making perspective of forest health monitoring, current criteria and indicators, and future needs for decision-making. At the same time, we will present the state-of-the-art developments in the field from terrestrial and remote technologies. Next, we will study a case, share lessons learnt and limitations. Finally, we will have a panel to discuss common challenges and opportunities, specifically how to improve the information transfer between policy-science-practice.
